Network Administrator

netiquette
Short for NETwork etIQUETTE, this is the polite way to conduct your affairs over the Internet.

network
The linking together of computers and their peripherals such as printers, scanners to enable resources and files to be shared between users, or to enable communication between computers. There loads of different types of network, such as GarfNet, the Internet, JANET, LANs, SuperJANET, and WANs.

Network Administrator (NetAdmin)
The person who looks after a network See also SysOp.

Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP)
The protocol used on the Internet to handle Usenet news.

newbie
Someone who is new to the Internet

newsgroup
A collection of messages relating to a certain topic or topics on Usenet, arranged into a hierarchical naming system. An example of a newsgroup is sci.med.

news server
A computer running software that enables a news reader client to retrieve items from Usenet newsgroups using NNTP.

notebook computer
A portable computer about the size of a notebook that unfolds to reveal the keyboard and display screen. See Laptop computer.
