We hope you are enjoying the long lazy days. This edition is slightly slimmer than usual due to holidays. The Millennium Team congratulates Mike the Tech Ed on his excellent degree results awarded by the Southampton Institute for his work on media study and culture.
Both Garf & Mike are working on the new edition of ModelNet. We have several new models this year and a new format - going live on 1997 October 01. So watch this space.
Catch up with news from Hong Kong with our continuing reportage from the Islands Orbital and find out the latest fashions from Anita Hunter. Please welcome Miss Thomas Puss to this edition her beautiful designs knock Habitat (yawn) and IKEA (ho-hum) into a cocked hat.

The New Millennium Magazine is flinching at the Millennium Mess that is destined for Greenwich in three years time. Having had to ditch a German built Dome ( don't mention the war) for an American version the sad news is… the whole building is not expected to last more that fifteen years…? What is going on? The whole thing seems a sadly typical British muddle.
If your city is planning an interesting and imaginative Millennium celebration please let us know. The New Millennium wants to know the best places to party in December 99.

Stop PRESS: DEATH OF PRINCESS DIANA :
Sad news of Princess Diana's death came in as we were uploading the magazine. The BBC is doing a fine job of covering the life and times of Lady Diana. It is such sad news and one can only guess how her children are tonight. Nevertheless don't make the mistake if you are reading this in The States that everyone in the UK thought her a saint. She was beginning to make serious mistakes in her public role. Hence her image was beginning to look flaky if not embarassing.
