This film starts off in Russia's Ukraine and Chernoble with Nick Troppoli digging for worms to discover what effects the nuclear melt down had on nature, when he gets escorted off the site by U.S Army troops to investigate the findings of giant footprints.
Meanwhile a "Deep Impact" style news reporter's assistant Audry is trying to get her big break in news reporting and broadcasting. She is Miss Nice Girl telling her friend and colleague about her ex, when surprise-surprise, he turns up in a news report being shown in the restaurant were they are having lunch. You guessed it its Nick Troppoli.
Once the initial story has been set and Nick AKA "the worm guy" realises he's standing in a giant footprint and he believes belongs to a huge Iguana or similar reptile that's become that big due to radiation. He hears a report and sees an old Chinese man in hospital that has survived a first-hand encounter with the creature, who tells them it's Godzilla the hunt begins.
This is when the film becomes really quite predictable including the love interest and her wanting to be a top reporter to Nicks predictions to what will happen and how to catch Godzilla. They conveniently leave it open for Godzilla Part Two, which I personally don't think, should ever happen! Any sequel would be weak imitation.
Overall an entertaining film we give it 6.5/10
