| If, like many of us, you have not
had a genuine UFO encounter, then
cheer yourself up by creating your
own fake UFO photographs. Here
are five great ways to do it... |
1. THE THROWING IN THE AIR
TECHNIQUE
Probably the best known fakers technique. Very
simple to do but also increadibly effective. Just
take your UFO (we have used the classic
saucepan lid) and simply throw it in the air. Have
an acomplise standing by with a camera so that
they can snap it in mid flight.
TIP: A person pointing at your UFO and looking
scared can add authenticity to your photo.

| 2. STRING MAGIC
Dangle your UFO (this example uses some
kitchen weighing scales) off of a tree branch by a
very thin piece of thread. Have a friend give you
directions as to the most convincing position and
hey-presto, as if by magic, your very own
hovering UFO!
TIP: Remember, if you move the camera slightly
while snapping, the blurring effect can hide any
shoddy work or tell-tale bits of string or
sellotape.
|
3. THE AMAZING MIRROR
ILLUSION
Either draw your UFO or cut one out of a
magazine (This aromatherapy difuser\ioniser
makes a convincing craft). Now stick it to a
mirror. Crouch down and view your UFO
through your camera veiw finder. Adjust your
position until you have a genuine looking picture
then SNAP!
TIP: Try to keep both the UFO and the
background as in focus as posible.

| 4. MONTAGE FROM MARS
Create a stunning effect by simply cutting out
your chosen UFO and sticking it onto an already
existing picture. You can then add your own
vapour trails or lazers using paints or pens! For
that extra professional look, use masking film
and an airbrush to add lights. Carefully focus
your camera on your montage and snap. For
best results use a macro lense.
TIP: Pay special attension to the edges of your
cut-out. Touch up with paint or coloured pencils. |
5. COMPUTER EFFECTS
In these days of computer technology many of us
have access to photo-editing software and
scanners. Seperat photos and objects (we have
used an image from a photo-cd and part of a
childs toy) can be scanned into your computer
and enhanced with miraculous electronic effects.
TIP: There are specialist photgraphic firms who
can make a photographic negative form a
computer file.
