An Ideal Husband

Rupert Everett - Lord Goring

Directed by Oliver Parker, this witty tale is based on a play written by Oscar Wilde.

by Juleigh Martin

Rupert Everett plays the part of the very charming Lord Goring, whose morbid fear of marriage is forever being ignored by his father, who, if he’s told him once, he’s told him a thousand times "it’s time for you to get married!"

Apart from Lord Gorings problems, Lord Chevely, finds himself in the middle of a blackmail scene with the woman in control.  Fighting to save Lord Chevely’s marriage and career, Lord Goring finds himself in all kinds of trouble, with some very funny consequences.

Will Lord Chevely’s sordid background come out?  Will Lord Goring ever settle down?

Watch and see!
