The Secrets Of A Smoother Shave
Did you know that men spend an average of five months of their lives shaving. What I want to know is when do the learn to do it properly ?
Speaking from my own point of view, I have to say there is nothing worse then having a good snog with your other half, when he hasn't had a decent shave. Ehhhh?
As my daughter said once when kissing her Dad good-bye, "It's like kissing a hedgehog"
In fact it was so bad that she refused to kiss him until he shaved his moustache of 9 years off, and now insists on a bristle check before kissing him!
Now stick with me and I will sort you out - Just take a look at my list of Bristle beaters:-
Seven steps to a smoother shave:
-
- The best time to shave is after a hot shower , bath or steam bath, as steam opens the pores and softens the bristles.
- Run your razor under the hot water before it touches the skin.
- Hold the area of skin you are shaving taut with your have to avoid cutting yourself.
- Make sure you have plenty of light when shaving so you can see what your doing.
- To avoid infection and blunt cuts, change your razor blade at least once a week - preferable every three days.
- After shaving, pat off excess soap with a clean flannel dipped into fresh warm water and ring dry. Those with sensitive skin could add a few drops of orangeflower water.
- To avoid in-growing hairs, use a facial scrub regularly.
