How They Deal With The Children Of Mr. Goose, In Austria:

YES, How to nip geese in the bud - so to speak! Cook 'em while they're young! This is what you need...

1 young goose; 4 or 5 eating apples; 4 or 5 lumps of sugar; 2 tablespoon chopped marjoram; salt; black pepper; dripping for roasting; red currant jelly.

Rub the goose inside and out with salt and pepper and chopped marjoram. Peel and core the apples. Put a sugar lump into each and stuff the goose with them. Baste frequently while roasting. Serve with red currant jelly.

Apparently you're supposed to kill the goose first - but what the heck!
