Hi!
This is just a brief letter to hope that you all had a good Christmas and New Year and that you like the latest edition of the New Millennium Magazine. I have been busy, trying to buy a house, once I have recovered from the stress I may write about it. Personally, I blame the rabbit. But it seems, today, as though this will draw to a happy conclusion.
In the meantime - my writers have been beavering away - Boswell is gamely pursing her new resolution to get fit. But I learn she has just come back from India, so I hope to a good travel guide from her asap. I'm really happy to be able to introduce Anita to the NM team. We met at University and spent weekends scouting second-hand clothes shops for cast off Diors and Westwoods. We are planning to put together the Southern England guide to good Second hand clothes shops. This will include London so ... if you are planning to visit the UK this summer and can't afford Harrods, contact us. We'll feature our finds later. We're off to the London Fashion Show next week so please watch this space in the summer edition.
I would also like to thank everyone who has written to me at ModelNet. I hope to reply to everybody in time. The most frequently asked question I get runs along the line of...
'Do you find it difficult to model and then have to go to work and face your work colleagues/boss who might have seen you posing in your underwear?'
I think the first answer is that not many people at work know about ModelNet - the Internet is still quite new here. Secondly I am not embarrassed by ModelNet since I don't believe they are tacky pictures so I am quite happy about it. Thirdly, I try to do my work as Network Manager to the best of my ability. When I am at work I have to be able to manage the network. People respect me for that. I would be more ashamed, if the system crashed and I didn't know how to fix it.
And finally, not to be too pious, I try and dress conservatively at work. You know long sleeves, thick tights, glasses... So Its quite a relief to flounce about on ModelNet and I really appreciate that people take the time to email me.
If anyone (BabyJoe) would like to have my autograph I would be happy to oblige. However, please understand I don't have a mailbox but if you email your addresses to the magazine, I'll reply ASAP. All details will be treated in confidence.
Love, Sarah xx
