Having been a beef eater for as long as I can remember, along with my parents and their parents etc., etc., I have to ask the question "Why stop eating beef now, when it's been declared safe, whilst up until now you haven't know whether you have consumed infected meat or not?"
Well, I am of the opinion that after all the media coverage of slaughter houses, carcasses being sliced in half with chain saws and talk of spinal cords and eye balls being ground up to make the gelatine of my pork pie, I cannot possibly touch the stuff again. It has just completely grossed me out. After all, do you really know what you are eating? See David Lucas's BSE Article.
I know I'm in a minority, and by the way Mr Goose you had better keep quiet or it will be goose on the menu for the next issue! Goose recipe
I've even been put off corned beef, as an associate of mine found an artery in his corned beef sandwich at work, YUK!!!! So you can stick your beef, I'm going vegie !!!
