Garf's GalleriesThis category attempts to display my passion for photography. It all started when I first used my father's Pentax ME SLR - I was just fifteen. I loved everything about it - even the sound the shutter made! Today I have access to some wonderful photographic kit and I still have the same passion for it that I did in my teens.

To manage lots pictures effectively, this new site uses open-source Coppermine content management software, sitting on top of PHP & MySQL database. This site replaces the old, hand-written GarfNet Pictures one. It is a work in progress because there are still some daft captions to fix. But, as they used to say on the old British Rail adverts, "we're getting there!"

Family AlbumsThis is a collection of scanned images from our various family albums. Many of these albums can only be seen by registered family users.

Miscellaneous CollectionsThese are images that I either produced myself, collected from internet or were emailed to me or sent in to GarfNet by readers. Quite a few of these are media objects that have either been doing the rounds of the internet in the form of jokes & hoaxes. I have archived them all here for fair-use, non-profit, historical interest purposes only. However if you believe we have infringed your copyright and you can prove ownership then we will remove your work immediately. Similarly don't assume that because it is published here that you can use it!

Scaleable Vector Graphics

Experimental SVG (scaleable vector graphic) files. Browsers don't really seem to handle these very well at the moment. But I thought I'd play anyway. Coppermine does not make thumbnails for these yet. You have to click the silly icon in order to see the SVG file.
